#SheForShe Conferences - Women Supporting Women In Medicine
As we tried to codify the spirit of #girlmedtwitter into the nonprofit Girl Med Media, made new friends, and became more aware and sensitive to available resources for women, we learned about other stand alone organizations and educational conferences for women in medicine. Though the goals often overlap, the style and history of each group is unique, and each has messages that are valuable to all women in medicine. For anyone interested in gender equity and advancing women in healthcare, we curated the chronologic list below to share these exciting opportunities where women and male allies can connect, be inspired, and be a vital part of the solution.
We will try to update this list of continuing medical education conferences a few times a year. Follow @girlmedmedia on Twitter to be notified of updates to this list. The descriptions below are either provided by the organizers or copied and pasted from a conference brochure or website. Minor edits have been made to fit a consistent flow and format.
